Walk in for Underwriter Residential/Real Estate/ Mortgage Loan - Analyst - Immediate JoinerWe are pleased to inform you about Opening with the No. 1 Employer in India, HCL Technologies - Business Services for the profile of Designation:- Junior / Senior Underwriter.
Responsibilities:
1. Works under moderate supervision; acquires and applies maturing knowledge of the business, its products, and processes.
2. Evaluate and verify applications determining whether or not borrower will be able to repay the loan
Verify income and employment information, review credit history and calculate the value of the borrowers collateral and assets
3. Ensure that the property specifications and loan terms meet Banks requirements and government regulations.
4. Once the application has been evaluated and the degree of risk has been assessed, document the reasons for approval or denial of the loan and add the documentation to the loan file.
5. Maintains knowledge of secondary market activity, and business/industry practices as they impact underwriting quality and origination activity.
Skills Required:
1. Applicants Must have excellent reading and comprehension skills.
2. Applicants Must have excellent decision-making skills that are backed by relevant details and research.
3. Applicants Must have good analytical and audit skills.
4. Applicants Must have good oral and written communication skills along with good listening skills
5. Applicants Must have knowledge pertaining to the regulations governing mortgage lending.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
1-4 years of related experience and accountability for moderately complex tasks and/or projects required.
Junior Level 1: Experience in basic mortgage operations (any function, processing preferred) or consumer loan underwriting.
Junior Level 2: Experience in Mortgage loan underwriting (FHA / VA)
